How the Dealspe Score works
Every product on Dealspe gets a score out of 10, so the best buy in each list is always at the top. Here is exactly how it is calculated.
The formula
Score = 50% Specs + 30% Value for money + 20% Deal strength
- Specs (0–10). We read the hard specs from the Amazon.in listing title and feature bullets — screen size, panel, processor, RAM, BEE star rating, tonnage, capacity — and rate them with the category weights below. Missing specs are left out rather than guessed.
- Value for money (0–10). Spec score per rupee, ranked against every other product in the same category. 10 means the most product for the money today.
- Deal strength (0–10). Today's discount ranked against the rest of the category. Comparing within a category stops inflated MRPs in one category from skewing another.
Brand cap. Specs and discounts on a listing are easy to overstate, and warranty and service matter on a big buy. Brands without an established presence in India, on a list we maintain by hand, are capped at 6.4, so listing claims alone can't lift them above an Average score.

Questions about the score
Is the Dealspe Score a review?
No. It is a data score calculated from each listing's specs, its price and its discount. We do not claim to have tested products by hand, and we do not show made-up star ratings.
Do commissions affect the score?
No. The score uses only specs, price and discount. Amazon's commission rates differ by category, but they never enter the calculation.
Why can a cheaper product outrank an expensive one?
Value for money is 30% of the score. A model with nearly the same specs at a much lower price can beat a pricier one, because that is usually the better buy.
How often are scores updated?
Every time prices are refreshed. Value and deal strength are relative to the other products in the same category, so a score can move when new deals arrive. Budget listings below a category's main price range are scored among themselves, so compare scores within a similar budget.
